Tara graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Business. She was classically trained through the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Syllabus, worked on scholarship at Steps on Broadway and studied with River North Dance, Chicago.
Tara is currently a principal dancer with SynthesisDANCE under the direction of Tracie Stanfield. She has performed for over 10 years with SynthesisDANCE at venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Salvatore Capezio Theatre, The Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, Booking Dance Festival in Bryant Park, Symphony Space, Brooklyn Dance Festival, DiCapo Opera Theatre, Verismo Opera Company, the International Dance Festival NYC and White Wave Dance Festival, among others.
Tara has also worked with Geoffrey Doig Marx's The Mantis Project, and [the] movement initiative under the direction of Caryn Marie Glass. She has taught dance for over 13 years, while continuing to train and choreograph in the tri state area including Broadway Dance Center and STEPS NYC. Tara's work has received numerous choreography awards and her students have been recognized for their exceptional technique and control.
